Nancy, Roberta,
John's wife was Sarah Morris, b. Maryland, dau of Thomas Morris and Elizabeth Howard.Sarah was an orphan and niece and ward of General John E. Howard.Anecdotal history is that the General gave Sarah a powder horn captured in the "Battle of the Cowpens" that was in the possession of the Osburn family for many years.Nancy, thank you for the info on Nicholas.I didn't have anything on him and his brother Samuel. This would mean that they left Loudoun Co. prior to thier deaths, and that tracks with their migration to Kentucky.I certainly would like to know more about these brother regarding their migration, and lives in KY.
