Now I have something to go on. There just is not a mention of who he was married to in familysearch, org. Is there any mention of children?
I took Junior's birth year (1793) and subtracted an average of 20 years for a father's age and got 1773. I looked in the familysearch.org and Joseph (1771), son of Peter (1742) popped up. Everyone seemed to be from Westtown, Chester, Pa. So I persued that line and looked to see where it went.
I got mixed up with the other Osborne line that came into Philadelphia and then went into Delaware and then North Carolina. I have no relatives fro North Carolina. James came from Pennyslvania and I stuck with that line.
For a long time, I was under the impression that James was born in Marion which is in Franklin County, Pa. Then I looked on a PA map and found Marion Center, and Marion Heights, PA. Nothing came from those two areas until I did the subtracting of ages and Indiana County popped up. Then I found Marion Center in the Indiana county area.
I was always told by my cousin he was born in Marion. Marion is in Franklin county. Marion Center turned very fruitful once I got into the serious looking. Thanks again for the info.
Can you tell me if there were any children? I am assuming and I hate to do that that Josephus Jr. was one. Do you know why the Joseph (us)? Is that a Quaker spelling?
This suddenly makes some sense now thanks to you. Once again thank you. Earl
