Hi there Osburn researchers... I have been searching for a needle in a hay stack for the past year or more... I recently found the needle located safely inside of a haystack full of Osburns in the 1850 Lawrence County Arkansas Census... In the stated census which can be found at this link http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~arsharp/1850law.htmhttp://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~arsharp/1850law.htm
46, Osburn, Samuel, 63, fmr, VA Kiziah, 60f, NC
47, Osburn, John, 29, fmr, IN Ortrey, Kisiah, 14f, TN Martha J., 13, TN William H.H., 8, MO Osburn, James H., 1, AR
Kisiah Ortrey matches the requirements to have been Kisiah Autrey The last name has 36 differnt spellings which Ms. Autrey used several of before she married Mr. Joseph Eatris (Etris) in 1853 in Lawrence County... We were always suspectant of a brother named William for her which there is a William listed here with the Osburns as well...
Does anyone here know anything about this Osburn family listed... I have been digging but not sure who they are or why my Autrey ancestor was with them... my best guess is that Samuel and Kisiah possibly had a daughter and that she is the mother of my Kizzar/Kisiah/Kizzie Autrey Etris... but since I have NEVER been able to find a mother or father for her I dont know that for sure either... I only know that she meets the criteria to be the person listed with this family... ANY help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks a bunch in advance
