G.H. Osman
Aged Juniatan Succumbs After Lengthy Illness
Golla Henry Osman of 237 7th Ave. Juniata died at his home at 2:50 am today following an extended illness.
A native of Lemont, he was born Dec. 8, 1978, a son of James and Sarah Osman, and married Blanche Magil Nov. 19, 1902 in Braddock.His wife died in February 1952.
After five years residence in Jersey Shore immediately after his marriage Mr. Osman moved to Juniata to enter the restaurant business.Later he was employed by the Altoona Wholesale Manufacturing Company as a salesman, retiring in 1952.
Surviving are four children, James W. of Baltimore, Md., Mrs. Kathryn Reinhart of Cleveland, Ohio, Mrs. Dorthy Cornet and Mrs. Blanche Wearner, both of Juniata: four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Miller of Sunbury and Mrs. Helen Johnson of Cleveland.
Mr. Osman was a member of the Independent Bible Church.
Friends will be received at the Saleme Funeral Home, Juniata, after 2 p.m. tomorrow.

HARRY OSMAN
Harry Osman, 83, of Millerton, died Monday morning, January 25, 1954.
Surviving are a half-brother Frank, of Elmira, N.Y. Services were held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home, 126 Main street, with the Rev. Kent Latimer, pastor of the Wellsboro First Methodist Church, officiating.
Burial was in Gray Cemetery at Covington.

Mrs. Ida M. Osman
Salona – Mrs. Ida M. Osman, 93, of Salona, widow of William Osman, died at 7:30 pm.m Tuesday, Aug. 11, 1959, at Lock Haven Hospital.
She had been in ill health for the past four years and was admitted to the hospital June 16.
Mrs. Osman was born in Lock Haven, daughter of John and Ellen Bryerton McGill.She lived in Lock Haven until 1949 when she moved to Salona to live with a niece, Mrs. Clyde Burrell.Her husband died in 1928.
She was a member of the Evangelical United Brethren Church of Lock Haven.
Her only survivors are nieces and nephews.
The Rev. Ray E. Jones, pastor of the Lutheran Circuit will officiate at funeral services.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the McCloskey funeral home, 320 main Street, Mill Hall.Burial will be in the Highland Cemetery, Lock Haven.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday.

Services Held
PANHANDLE, Oct. 23-Funeral services for John Austin Osman, 80, were conducted today In the Poston Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Joe Kennedy, pastor of the First Christian Church. Burial was in the Panhandle Cemetery.
Mr. Osman died Tuesday morning at his home here after a lengthy illness. He was a retired driller and plant construction worker. He came to panhandle in 1939 from Tulsa, Okla.
Survivors include four sons, George Osman of Borger, John Osman of Kermit, S. T. Osman of Wink and W. H. Osman of Tulsa; four daughters, Mrs. Charles Elder of Panhandle, Mrs. A. M Powers of Adrian, Mrs. C. E Doren of Tulsa and Mrs. Allen Mayor of Houston; a sister, Mrs. Frank Boughenmiller of Tyler and a brother, John Osman of Harrisburg, Pa.

MRS. LAURA A. OSMAN,
Wile of Jesse F. Osman, died at her home, 1109 Fifth avenue, last evening at 5:15 o'clock, after an illness of some time. She was born in Centre Hall June 24, 1861, and had resided in this city for the past twenty-eight years during which time she was a memberof the First United Brethren church.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her mother, Mrs. Kale Homer, and brother, Calvin Homer, the latter in this city. Funeral services will be held at her late home Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, to be conducted by the Rev. W.G. Stiverson. Interment will be made- in Rose Hill cemetery.

Marlin E. Osman, Lt. Colonel Ret. USAF, of Horsham, passed away suddenly on Monday, September 22, 1997 in Abington Memorial Hospital. He was 74.
He was the beloved husband of Joyce M. (Hockenbroch) Osman.
Born in Shamokin, Pa., he was a son of the late William and Hazel (Kehler) Osman.
A resident of Horsham since 1959, Colonel Osman retired from the USAF in 1975 after 37 years,
serving during World War II and the Korean Conflict.
He was a member of the American Legion Post # 308 of Willow Grove. Colonel Osman was an active member of the AOPA (Aircraft Owners and Pilots Assn.) and held private pilot, instrument, commercial and instructor ratings at the time of his death.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Linda K. Osman of Horsham; a son Rick D. Osman of Tabernacle, N.J.; and a grandson, Geoffrey A. Osman, also of Tabernacle, N.J.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his service on Thursday at 11:30 a.m. in the A. Groh Schneider Funeral Home, 431 N. York Road, Hatboro, where friends will be received after 10:30 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will follow in Hatboro Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Heart Association, 625 W. Ridge Pike, Bldg. A, Suite 100, Conshocken, Pa. 19428-1190 or to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, 1 Reed Street, Room 200, Philadelphia, Pa. 19147, would be appreciated by his family.

Mrs. Martha Osman, 80, of Minot, N.D., a former resident of Billings, died Tuesday morning at Minot. She and her husband operated a restaurant in Rapelje in the 1920’s before coming to Billings.
She was born in Story City Iowa, June 13, 1877, and was married to Thomas Osman in Goodell, Iowa, Nov. 21, 1897.
The couple came to Rapelje from Iowa in 1917 and established their cafe business.
They moved lo Billings in 1933 and Mr. Osman died here in 1951. Shortly after her husband’s death Mrs. Osman moved to Minot.
The body was brought to Smith's Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted, a Smith's Chapel Friday, at 3 p.m with the Rev. Ralph W. Glenn of the American Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be in Mount view Cemetery.
Mrs. Osman is survived by two sons, H. Leroy Osman of Minot and Theodore O. Osman of Seattle
Wash.; five daughters, Mrs. Merle Scmidt of Minot, Mrs. Arnold Wick of Glendale, Calif., Mrs. Charles Nichols of Tacoma, Wash. Mrs. Narvie Jorgenson of Williston, N.D., and Mrs. W. L. Downs of Molt; a brother, Albert Larson of Kanawha, Iowa; a sister, Mrs Lee Bright of Minot; 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Died Last Evening—Mrs. Conrad Osman died last evening at her home on the beach from a stroke of paralysis. The deceased leaves, besides a husband, several sons and daughters to mourn her death. Funeral arrangements have not been completed.

Samuel S.Osman Dies When Hit by Auto Sunday
Samuel S. Osman, justice of the peace, and undertaker, of Port Matilda, was instantly killed Sunday afternoon at 1:45 o'clock when he was struck by an automobile near his home. Mr. Osman, in company with his wife, was enroute to their home, and according to state motor police of the Philipsburg detail, who investigated the accident, Mr. Osman stepped into the path of an automobile driven by Bernard H; Englehart, of Johnstown. Mr. Osman suffered a broken neck, a fractured skull and internal injuries.
Englehart was exonerated by a coroner's jury impaneled late Sunday by Coroner W. R. Heaton of Centre County. Englehart, who is principal in the Muncy schools, was absolved of all blame in connection with the accident. The accident occurred about one mile west of Port Matilda.
Samuel S. Osman was a son of Huston and Anna (Stevens) Osman and was born at Port Matilda on December 25, 1881. On December 20, 1918, at Cumberland, Maryland he is united in marriage with Myra Nearhoof.He was a lifelong resident of Port Matilda.
He is survived by his wife, one brother, Roy Osman of Trafford, Pa. and these sisters: Mrs. Abbie Wertz: Tyrone; Mrs. Nora Bloom, Mrs. Lillian Hons, Curwensville; Mrs. May Baer, of Trafford, and Mrs. Daisy Newman, of Johnstown.
He was of the Methodist faith. Mr. Osman was very prominent in, community and civic affairs, having served as justice of the peace for a number of years.
Funeral services will be held at the home at Port Matilda on Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock in charge of Rev. David Sowers, followed by burial in Gray's cemetery near Storms town.

ASHTON _ Sidney Osman died Friday at Community Memorial Hospital, Redfield.
His funeral service will be Monday at 2 p. m. at Coleman-Thelen Funeral Chapel, Redfield!
The Rev. Vernon Morrson will officiate. Burial will be in Ashton Cemetery.
He was- born Aug. 2, 1888 in Ashton, Dakota Territory. He spent his entire Iife In the Ashlon area. He married Ollie Pearl McCrillls on Nov . 24, 1909. They farmed near Ashon.
She died in 1963 and he lived in James Valley Nursing Home since 1968.
He is survived by three sons, Charles and Everett Ashton, and Ray, Redfield; six grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Besides his wife Osman was preceded in death by two sisters and grandchildren.

Thomas Osman – Obituary
Thomas Osman, 77, of 317 Rural Ave.,' Chester, died Thursday at the OakcrestNursing Home, Upland, after a long illness.
Born in Shamokin, Mr. Osman lived many years in Gordon and came to Chester in 1942.
He retired in 1957 from the South Chester Tube Co., and prior to this was employed at Sun Shipbuilding & Dry Dock Co., Chester.
He ' served with the 314th Infantry during World War I, was a member of Parkside Methodist church, the Retired Men’s Club of Parkside and an inactive member of the 314th Veterans Association of Valley Forge.
He is survived by his widow, the former Virginia Kaufman; a daughter, Mrs. Harry Herrick of Parkside; a son, James T. Osman of Chester; a sister, Mrs. Myrtle Hains of Shamokin, and two grandchildren.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday at the Edward E Bateman Funeral Home, 4220 Edgemont Ave., Brookhaven.Burial will be in Chester Rural Cemetery.
Calling hours will be Sunday evening at the funeral home

WARREN J. OSSMAN
Of William Penn highway, Cresson, died Saturday morning at 8.40 o'clock at Mercy Hospital. Mr. Ossman was born March 26, 1898, in Ashland, a son of Harvey and Mary Esther (Hoch) Ossman. He was employed as an engineer by the Pennsylvania Department of Highways. Surviving are his wife, Mary, and a son, Warren, Jr.
