It sounds like we are cousins of some sort.
My Dad was the Raymond J Ostrowski you have listed in your post born to Frank and Pauline Rekowski.
Here is some additional info about the family based on some of the more current obits that I did a quick google on and can share with you.
The reason that I stumbled across this is that my aunt, Martha (Ostrowski) Jazdzewski passed away over the weekend and I was searching for the obit. The service will be sometime this week.
Unfortuantely the main genealogy buffs in the family were my uncle and his first wife, Henry and Stella, who are both gone now. There are only the handful left - Theresa, Sylvester, Valerie, Dennis (Kathleen) and Frank (Kathrine). Although a couple in-laws, my mom Carol (Raymond) and Aunt Lucy (Felix) are still alive and kicking.

Mary D. Nitka, 91, formerly of 425 Meadow St., Stevens Point, died Saturday, Aug. 15, 2009, at Harmony Assisted Living in Stevens Point. She was under the care of Ministry Home Care-Hospice Services.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Peter Catholic Church, with the Rev. Kevin C. Louis officiating. Burial will be in Guardian Angel Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home in Stevens Point from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday and in the St. Faustina Room of the church from 9:30 a.m. Tuesday until the Mass. A Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary Ritual will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. The St. Peter Rosary Society, the Secular Order of St. Francis and the Knights of Columbus, of which her son, Ronald, is a member will combine with the parish rosary at 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made in her name to St. Peter's Catholic Church in lieu of flowers.

Mrs. Nitka was born Aug. 22, 1917, in the town of Sharon, a daughter of the late Frank and Pauline (Rekowski) Ostrowski. She attended local schools.
She was married to Edward Nitka on May 3, 1947, at St. Adalbert Catholic Church in Rosholt. He died on Feb. 22, 1995.
After the marriage they settled in Stevens Point.
She was a homemaker.
She was a 50-year member of St. Peter's Rosary Society Rose 50, a member of the Secular Order of St. Francis and a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary Chapter 30.
Survivors include two sons, Ronald, Stevens Point, and Myron, Wisconsin Rapids; two daughters, Marge (Chuck) Youse, Henrico, N.C., and Doris Seitz, Verona; one son-in-law, Rick McNiff, Stevens Point; three brothers, Sylvester Ostrowski, Iola, Dennis (Kathleen) Ostrowski, Menominee Falls, and Frank (Kathy) Ostrowski, Ogdensburg; three sisters, Martha Jazdzewski, Oak Creek, Theresa Dryszel, Lyle, Ill., and Valerie Thompson, Iola; and five grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Kathy McNiff; three sisters, Irene Korpalski, Anna Pochinski and Regina Wojtalewicz; and five brothers, Raymond, Felix, Henry, Nick and Alois Ostrowski.

Henry P. Ostrowski, 76, Mosinee, a town of Alban native, died Sunday, June 23, 2002, at his home.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Adalbert Catholic Church in Rosholt, with the Rev. Marcin Mankowski officiating. Burial will be in St. Adalbert Cemetery in Rosholt.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Beste Funeral Home in Mosinee and from 9 a.m. Thursday at the church until the services.

Raymond J. Ostrowski, 67, Arlington Heights, Ill., a town of Alban native, died Sunday, Oct. 5, 2003, at Northwest Community Healthcare Center in Arlington Heights, Ill.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Edna Catholic Church in Arlington Heights. Interment will be private.
Visitation will be at the Gueckert Funeral Home Ltd. in Arlington Heights from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 a.m. Thursday at the church until the services.
