The information I included in my original query is from the records of St. Pierre parish in Plattsburgh, NY.I will return to LDS and retrieve for you all the information on this family I can find.
The location[Napierville] makes sense for the origins of my lost [or rather broken] OUIMET connection.Since they were in Champlain, NY and environs about 1843-60, it would be logical that they would have come down from Napierville to the potatoe fields of Northern, NY.
Do you have the children of Toussaint OUIMET (b. Sep 19 1804) and Céleste Guérin (b Aug 10 1806) i.e. the siblings of Pierre Toussaint OUIMET (b. 2 Apr 1832 at Napierville)? My ancestor, ? [Perhaps Ignace or Eloi] OUIMET m. Marie Yvette GOUDREAU née GARDNER [DAGENAIS or DES JARDINS] c. 1843, died before 1860, is very likely a brother to Pierre Toussaint OUIMET.
