In my notes, I have a Caroline M. Overacker, born 6 June, 1865 in Iowa as the eleventh of the thirteen children born to Simeon Overacker (1817-1886) and Caroline Amanda PADDOCK (1825-1911). Sadly, this is all the information I have for her. Simeon a son of War of 1812 veteran Michael Overacker (1785-1833) and Meredith Lucinda "Lucy" BRIGGS(1792-1873). Michael's parents were Revolutionary War soldier, Adam Overacker (1761-1842), and his first wife, Cornelia VAN DER COOK (1761-c1810).
Adam Overacker is buried in the East Grass Lake Cemetery, Grass Lake Twp., Jackson Co., MI. Michael and Lucy Overacker are buried in the Felt Plains Cemetery, Bunkerhill Twp., Ingham Co., MI. Simeon Overacker is buried in the Belmond Cemetery, Belmond, Wright Co., IA. According to what I have in my notes, Caroline Paddock Overacker died in Belmond and may be buried there as well.
Due to space considerations, I simply can't keep proofs for my collateral lines. However, if you can make the initial connection, I can guide you all the way back through your Caroline's Overacker and VanDerCook lines. I have this information because Cornelia VanDerCook Overacker was the youngest sibling to my 4th great grandfather, Henry VanDerCook.
