Grace Gargano, 94, of Pana, died Sunday, August 18, 2013. She was born May 18, 1919 in Pana, IL, the daughter of Arthur & Birdie Sutton Hoffman. Grace was a graduate of Pana High School and lived her entire life in Pana. She had owned and operated Chic Beauty Salon in Pana for over 40 years. Grace was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Pana and past member of Pana Rotary Club, where she was the first woman member. She is survived by her daughter: JoAnn Overholt & husband James L.; 3 grandchildren: Melanie Whiston & husband Dan, Geneva, IL; James A. Overholt, St. Louis, MO; Rachel Overmeyer & husband Josh, Olathe, KS; 3 great grandchildren: Juliet & William Whiston and Brooklyn Overmeyer. She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 sons in infancy; brother, Irving H. Hoffman on August 12, 1998, and one brother in infancy.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 24, 2013 in First United Methodist Church at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Stephen Palmer officiating. Burial will be in Rosemond Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home. Donations Information
