I have heard that this document exists but have not seen proof of it and didn't know if it was real or the figment of someone's imagination. LOL
I've seen so much discussion about a different Thomas supposedly married to Mary Brooks Stamper that I really thought this was all supposition not documented fact.
Glad to know there is documentation out there.
I descend from Thomas Jr's son Walter and have often wondered how the Smokey Mountain Clan (John's descendents) have the Powell name running through them so much if Thomas Sr. (MY Thomas) was the one married to a Powell. Unless the Powell is not connected to Powell Stamper, Mary's first husband.Walter stayed in NC and had 12 children who migrated to Middle Tennessee. We don't know for sure where Walter ended.
Ironically, my Dad's cousin is the original researcher for our branch and she was supposed to have a copy of the Arthur inventory in her files, but she gave me her files before she died and I couldn't find the inventory anywhere.
Do you perhaps have a copy (or transcription) of it that you would be willing to share?
I KNOW that the Sevier Co bunch is kin to us (because I've seen pictures of some of them and the likness is great)but I can't seem to get anyone from that branch to communicate about this facinating family.
