Hello, I have enjoyed reading your genforum. Some of you sound like the Kent's, did he or didn't he? I am descended from Benoni (possibly Benjamin)Kent of Fairfax Co. Va. d.1773/4. We have tired to establish his parental lines and are looking strongly at Isaac Kent and Ann Owsley. According to the book "Beginning at a White Oak" Thomas Owsley gave his granddaughters Ann and Jane (who married Gregg)some land in 1697. I assume they were alive by this time since he named them. Does anyone have marriage dates on the Gregg or Kent unions? Or a list of their children? When Peter Kent (Benoni's son) made his Will in 1842 in Greene Co., Tn. Matthew Gregg witnessed his Will. I feel there may be a tie here but can't find it. Also, do you know where Thomas Sr. came from to Fairfax County? He was there by 1696, but did he come directly from England (or elsewhere) or transport from another colony? This may help us to know if he was in Va./Md before 1696. Thanks for any info you can share.
