Here is some additional information on Frank Truman Packard (1861-1945). It is from Packard's Progress, Vol. 7, Pt.2, Autumn 1988 (Newsletter of the Packard and Allied Families Association, Jeri Packard Schlerf, editor at that time). It is from the 17th page of that issue, which did not have page numbers. That page contained photocopies oftwo Pedigree Charts compiled Jan 9, 1988 by Mrs. Elaine M. Rhodes of West Plains, Missouri. Her maiden name was Elaine M. Hills, her mother was Edith Fauetin Packard, and her maternal grandfather was Frank Truman Packard.

The information from her pedigree charts is:
Elaine M. Hills, born 25 Feb 1932 at Wenatchee, Chelan Co., WA;
Father: Arthur Hills, born 1890, died Oct 1940.
Mother: Edith Fauetin Packard.
Elaine married Hayden (Elmer) Rhodes 28 July 1972.
Hayden born 14 Jan 1913 at Eminence, MO; Living 1988.
Hayden's parents not given.

Edith Fauetin Packard, born 6 May 1892, at Montecito, CA; died 15 Oct 1975;
Father: Frank Truman Packard.
Mother: Emma Cheeny (sic), born 19 Oct 1863 at St. Albans, Frankln Co, VT; died 21 Dec 1947 at Santa Cruz, CA;
Edith married Arthur Hills 1930.
Arthur born 1890, died Oct 1940.
Arthur's parents not given.

Frank Truman Packard, born 2 Dec 1861 at Cambridge, Wisconsin; died 26 Dec 1945;
Father: Gilbert Clark Packard.
Mother: Nancy M. VanBrocklin, born 23 Jun 1833; died 24 Apr 1918 at Santa Barbara, CA.
Frank married Emma M. Cheeny 3 July 1890.
Emma's parents were:
Harlow M. Cheeny, born 30 Jan 1831 at St. Ammous, PQ, Canada; died 4 July 1870 at Westfield, Orleans Co., VT, and
Mary Kimpton, born 1832; died 7 Apr 1867 at Franklin, VT.

Gilbert Clark Packard, born 27 Oct 1829; died 6 Jan 1903 at Santa Barbara, CA. (No place of birth given but younger siblings listed by Charlotte Fike Packard were born in New York, possibly Madrid where his father died.)
Father: Truman F. Packard.
Mother: Amanda Jager (sic); no additional data for Amanda.
Gilbert married Nancy M. VanBrocklin 15 May 1856.
Nancy's parents not given.

Truman F. Packard born 23 May 1797 at Charlotte, Chittenden Co., VT; died 14 Mar 1849 at Madrid, St. Lawrence Co., New York. (Place of death given by Charlotte Fike Packard who also confirms date of birth but has 10 Mar 1849 for date of death.)
Father: Abisha Packard.
Mother: Rebecca Preston born 27 Aug 1774, birthplace not given; died 8 Apr 1847 (probably at Madrid, NY).
Truman married Amanda Jager 28 Jan 1819.
Amanda's parents not given.

Abisha Packard born 10 Apr 1761 at Hardwick, Caledonia Co., VT; died 20 July 1836 (at Madrid, St. Lawrence Co., New York - CFP).
Father: Eleazer Packard born 27 Sep 1727; died 13 Feb 1803 (in Stanstead Co., Quebec Prov., Canada per CP Wight as a result of a Vermont-Quebec boundary change.)
Mother: Mercy Richards (born 1725/6; died 1768 - CFP).
Abisha married Rebecca Preston 29 Dec 1793 as his second wife after his first wife, Esther Fuller died 30 Dec 1790.
Parents of neither wife given.

Note the differet middle initial of Truman F. Packard. The "F" may have been for Fuller, the maiden surname of his father's first wife. Truman's birthplace may have been recorded in Bridgewater but I am inclined to believe Vermont was the actual location.

I am curious; what is the connection of Packard to Pomeroy? Is it through Cheney/Cheeny? There was a Professor Pomeroy at Bates College, Lewiston, Maine, in the early 1900's. Also I believe there was a Cheney connected with Bates. Does the Pomeroy Genealogy mention any of this?
