Padilla Family of Puerto Rico

I descend on my mother's side from Ciprián PADILLA and Juana María ORTIZ DE LA RENTA. Ciprián was born perhaps in San Germán, Puerto Rico in 1708.
I am investigating what part of Spain they came from. I believe it was from the Canary Islands. Does anyone have any idea?
