Re: Pallisters of Durham
I have the 1881 Census on CD. But the 1881 and 1901 censuses are now online, so it makes it easier to track people. Richard Pallister was born in Darlington in 1834. He was a licensed victualler at the Stone Bridge Inn, Elvet, in 1881, with wife Margaret, and children John, William, Georgiana and Jane. In 1901 he was at Coatham Mundeville, with wife Margaret, and children Richard, George, Matthew and Margaret, and son John with his wife Dorothy and their children, Mary and Margaret. Richard was baptised at St Cuthbert, Darlington in 1833, son of Richard (a woolcomber) and Mary who had 6 other children baptised there between 1823-1836.
