I am looking for family relations to Spotswood Palmer b 5/1811 in Virginia. He was in Kentucky by 1830 and than Missouri by 1844. He was a slave owner. I have tried tracking descendancies of the early Virginia settlers and have come up empty. I think he may have had a brother named Henry and that his father had served in the REv. War. He was supposedly named after his father, but I don't know what that really means. I had thought he might had descended through Martin Palmer of King William County because he had a grandson named Martin, but it is a long reach. I have seen his surname spelled in all 3 of the variations you have listed: Palmer, PAlmore and Parmer.
