KATHIE FERRELL PARKER 5/09/02
Hi Kathie,
Thanks for responding to my message. My Parker family was from Wilkes County, NC.I think that my William Thomas Parker was about 20 in 1900.This is when I think that he moved to Bluefield. He moved to WV for a mining job.I have been told that he moved to Bluefield.I don't know if he married in WV or in NC.I do not know his wife's name except that one person told me that it was Rebecca and someone else told me that she thought it was Helen.I don't know.I have a photo of them with one of their sons. They had two sons.Their names were Garfield and Charlie.Garfield just died within the last 10-12 years ago.He was the last one living of the family members that anyone of my family knew anything about.I think that he was living in North Fork when he passed.I called everyone in whatever county Princeton is in that was a cemetary or a funeral home to see if I could find out where my Garfield might be buried. The reason I did this is because a postmaster from North Fork responded to an email I sent her looking for Garfield. Her name is Mel Nester. She told me that she remembered Garfield and that he had passed about 10-12 years ago.I know that he moved to Bluefield to mine and that she told me that he lived in North Fork or that he got his mail through the North Fork post office.I will call her again and ask her just where he lived again. She is the one that said I should try to contact someone in Princeton about where he is buried.Where are you from?Do you live in this area?Maybe you could help me find my lost relatives.William Thomas Parker was my grgr uncle on my mothers maternal side.I would love to know where his family is buried. If you could help I would greatly appreciate it.Maybe if you don't know anything someone that you might.
Thanks again,
Regina Lail
