My Mary Parramore died in 1835 in Decatur County, GA. She was married to Thomas Fain. Decatur County is located in the far southwest corner of Georgia at the Florida line and very near 'Old Parramore' that Dale Cox wrote about in his book. In the book, Old Parramore, he suggests that the Parramore community was once occupied by a family by the name Perryman.
In another well documented and mostly verified by DAR, the Fain Families of South West Georgia by Agnes Perritt Anxsom, noted different spellings of Mary Parramore's name such as Pennemore, Paramore, Perrymore, etc.
I am curious about the spellings of Parramore and Perryman and the proximity of the community named Parramore located near TwoEgg, FL near the Georgia border.
Has anyone thought about this connection before? I would like to suggest that these families of Parramore and Perryman perhaps were the same family.
Any info on this is appreciated.
