Re: Luis Salvador Patoni
Hello Miguel, My name is Marie Whitfield and my Grandmother was Amalia Patoni/daughter of Carlos Patoni. In your message you told of Dolores, Luz, Amalia and Sara. There was one more sister named Carlota (nickname was "Tote")I know that Carlos had 2 wives. (Not at the same time) Ha!Eventually, most of the sisters did move to the United States...however, I do not thing Luz did.She lived with her daughter Estellita and her husband, Oscar, in Tiajuana and I think she died in Mexico City.
My Grandmother married my Grandfather, Wallace H. Grigg sometime during WW1, and they lived in Texas and eventually moved to Mexico were they lived and worked all over.My Mother, Elaine and her brother Edward, were born in San Antonio, Texas. They were both raised for the most part in Mexico. My Mother moved back to the States when she married my father, George E. Richter who lived in St. Louis, Missouri. We eventually moved to California and lived in El Centro, Los Angeles, and Anaheim. My father, George, was a member of the Disneyland Band for 20 years. He played the Bass Drum and all the percussion instruments. He was a fine musician.
I do not know too much about the earlier Patoni's other than the Mexican Army and Governorships, I would love to hear more about Juan Bautista Patoni and how he came to be in Mexico.I believe that he accompanied General Von Humboldt on an Expedition to Survey Mexico?
Hope to see more messages from you.
