John F Payne, Fannie Edmiston Family

I am looking for info on my g-grandfather John Franklin Payne b. 18 Jun 1856 TN, married Frances [Fannie] Jane Edmiston 30 Dec 1875 Washington Co, Ark. Daughter of Harvey Henderson Edmiston and lucinda Gray. John's parents were Nehemiah Payne and Frances Stepp, NC & TN.
John was murdered in Fresno, CA on his fig ranch, the murder was never solved...I would greatly appreciate any info on this family.I figure he was probably murdered about 1933 but no proof.
John and Fannie children:
1. Joseph Sanford Payne b. 22 Nov 1877 Morrow, Ark [grandfather
2. Jennie Payne [twin]died as a small child of whooping cough in Ark.
3. Hugh Payne

5. Louella Payne married Malon Flowers
6. Eunice payne married Ernest Chambers
7. John Harvey Payne b. 1879 Prairie Grove Arkd. 1943 Fresno, CA
