No, my forebearers did not have romantic names like Tarleton.In fact, I think the earliest arrivees had common names like Isaac and Sarah (although Sarah did have some royal connotations).Nor were they Virginia gentry, but Maryland tobacco farmers who moved to the hills of Western North Carolina, later, Eastern Tennesee, and, then, to buy and sell mules in Missouri.
