I can possibly help a tiny bit.
I was researching John Pearce in the Revolutionary War records of Fold3.I came across a letter from Nell Elkins Crawford Pearce. (Googling that name lead me here.)
In fact, I was googling that name last weekend and found other correspondence about a lawsuit she was involved in and it spelled out her relationship to Crawford - well at least to her son by the last name of Crawford.
If you contact me at klallman at gmail.com and can send you the copy of her signed letter requesting info on John Pearce. It is on E.B. Crawford & Co. Inc. letterhead.(From her lawsuit it was clear her son was a partner in that company.) Below her signature she gave her address as Mrs. McAllister Pearce P.O. Box 6I- West Memphis, Ark.
The letter was dated Feb. 20, 1940.
There was a second letter from her requesting research on someone else.I did not save that, but if it's important to you I could try to relocate it.
