I've posted a long time ago but I have a bit more info now. My grandfather- John Edwin Pearson, was born in 1909 in St. Marylebone, London. His father was Walter Edwin Pearson and his mother was Alice Amelia Janes. He had two brothers, possibly more- Wilfred & Edwin, and one sister- Ethel (I think).John married Beatrice Symes on Aug 4, 1940 in Copnor, Portsmouth, England (I have a fair amount of info about her family). He served as a R.A.O.C. Sergeant (15 Battalion) in WW2. My father and aunt were born in Poole in 1942 and probably around 1947, respectively. At some point there was a candy store in Bournemouth- my mom thinks it may have been Pearson's Candy Store. Then the whole familymoved to Canada in 1949 and settled in the Vancouver area, where they opened another Pearson's Candy. I really want to find out about this side of my family- but as my father passed away a couple of years ago and I can't seem to contact my aunt, so there is nobody to help.I am asking again now because (silly as this sounds) I went to see a UK band last night- the drummer looked exactly like old pictures of my grandfather. I later found out his last name is Pearson, but he was gone by then. Any info would be hugely appreciated.
