I can see your problem in the lineage.Joseph Pearson born Jan. 10 1849 note name of town is Peterborough, ON, Canada, no "s" in the name.I have a Joseph born to William Pearson and Mary Fitzgerald but no Joseph listed for William Pearson and Pheobe McIlmoyle. I have a Joseph b. 1846 d. 1920 however, these dates could have been a guess by someone.The William Pearson (b. 1800) his parents Silas Pearson & Elizabeth Leaberry.I will try and contact a Pearson descendant to see if she knows anything about this family.
