Re: Peelman Lancaster Co PA 1700s
I have not made any real progress on Christian Peelman. I did note that when he was Naturalized in 1729 it was stated on the lancaster co. list of men who were also naturalized that he was included in a group of men that were "divers Protestants" who were subjet to Emperor of Germany and transported themselves and estates tp PA between the years of 1700-1718. So that gives a bit more info and lessens the dates of his immigration and area to search for his homeland. It would appear from this that probably all his daughters were b. in PA and I do wonder if he was m. in PA and if he immigrated with a parent being b. 1690.
His warrant for land was given by John Herr et al, Mennonite leaders in Hemphill Twp., Lancaster, PA.
It seems the leaders had the lands and would parcel them out to fellow church members.
I also wonder if there is a Mennonite church record of these proceedings that may give more info.
