Hi,

i was born in Pistoia (Pescia) and emigrated with my parents to Canada when i was a baby. Since my father Galiano died when i was quite young, i never found out anything about my father's side of the family (Pellicci). My mother and her family are from Fiume and they know nothing about the Pellicci side.

In 1996 i returned to Pescia to visit my uncle (my father's half-brother, with a different last name) but he did not want to talk at all about the Pellicci side of the family. No reason was given. Walking around town i noticed a monument to soldiers who had died in war with the names of a few Pellicci's. The local castle had several apartments that showed name plates of the occupants and most were Pellicci. However, i never got the chance to meet even one Pellicci while there.

Searching the internet a few years ago, i discovered a few Pellicci family individuals but none would return an email. i had also asked them if they knew anything about the Pellicci family but no reply.

If any of you know what the big mystery is for the Pellicci family, i would appreciate it very much to know.

Sorry i do not know any of the Pellicci family that came to the US in the 1920s.

Ciao,
norberto pellicci
