Re: John Henry PENDARVIS
Thanks for responding Luva,
My question concerning John H PENDARVIS b. 1848
was if it is known that he married, and if so, if he had a son? ...and if his son was possibly John H.
I'm looking for a J. H. PENDARVIS b.c. late 1860s. It is possible that John H. b. 1848 could have had a son when he was in his teens. And it would make sense that his son would possibly visit his grandfather in SC. Or he possibly inhereited land.
Some of my records indicate that my John Henry's wife Matilda HARRISON was born in FL.
I would love to find out more about the John born in 1848 and his family.
I have a John H. PENDARVIS b.c. 1860, living with the TAVEL family and nextdoor to Benj. HARRISON in Adam's Run, Colleton Co, SC in 1880.
It may be that my John PENDARVIS is from the line you spoke of... John b. 1747, son of Brand.
I find it difficult making a connection since many of the Colleton County records were burned during the Civil War. But I haven't given up hope! ~
