William Penick / Judith Paite (Pate)

Seeking information concerning ancestry of William Penick and Judith Pate.Have seen many pedigrees that list his father as Edward Penick, but have seen a copy of a family bible that says his parents were a William of Wales and a Judith of Ireland.This bible can be viewed in the digital archives of the University of Virginia.I am assuming that the bible is correct.Can anyone help?
