Thanks. I do belong to the Penland Historical Society.In fact, my father, Charles E. Penland, is the the current president and is responsible for setting up the PHS website. The web site is still in the growing process, but he's doing a great job of scanning in all of the old PHS bulletins from back to its beginning (the 1980's). There's a lot of good information in those bulletins.It's true, you have to be a member to get the password to access all of its features.I encourage you to join if you haven't.
