Yes, I must agree with you.Unfortunately, I don't seem to be able to link your John Penn with the names on my tree.I found a record of a John Penn born about 1620 Lancaster, Virginia who died 02 MAY 1677 and a record of a William Penn born 1606 of Caroline, Virginia who I would suspect as being the father but there are no more clues. His parents must have come to Virginia prior to 1606. Sorry I can't be of more help. If something does crop up I will let you know.
