I can give you info on a son of Mathias Pennypacker and wife, Mary Custer, also named Matthias. This second Matthias married Sarah Anderson.

This info was from, "Notes on Family History" by Isaac Sutton. I research the Anderson family of Chester Co., PA. Sarah Anderson who married Matthias Pennypacker was the daughter of Isaac Anderson and Mary Lane. Isaac Anderson was the son of Patrick Anderson and Elizabeth Morris.
Samuel Whitaker Pennypacker , a son of Isaac Anderson Pennypacker was governor of PA - 1903 to 1907. I have a copy of his autobiography and his book on PA the Keystone State as well as a copy of the Pennypacker Reunion. I have done talks on my ancestor, Patrick Anderson of Chester Co who was a Capt. in the Pennsylvania Musketry Battalion under Col. Atlee. That's why I have these books written by Gov. Pennypacker where I have found several references to his ancestor, Patrick Anderson. Sarah's father, Isaac Anderson was also in the Rev. War and was a courier for Gen. Washington at Valley Forge and also kept a diary of his service under General Rogers Clark in the Western Campaign.
