John Pennypacker (Pennypecker, etc.in regards to variations with this name) a european immigrant lived somewhere near Phoenix or Glendale, AZ around 1914.
Would like to get in touch with someone who might know any family stories of him taking in an indian/mexican boy named Juan C. Nevarez abt. 1914 when his father died and he was an orphan.
My grandfather told us of this man who he made a deal with John P. that he can help him with his farm if he took care of him till his 18th birthday; in which he agreed and my grandfather lived in the barn.
My grandfather also said that when the time came for him to leave, he thanked John P. and said goodbye but John P. saved a little money for him to make his start in life.
Please contact me if you have ever heard this story from your family members.Thank you.
