Margaret,Thanks for the info.I had not been able to find Charles and family (and particularly is father) any further back than 1870 in Ohio although I knew from others that they lived in New York and even Michigan for a while. After the family arrives in Fremont Ohio, I have lots of information.
Apparently there was a large migration of people from Rochester to Ohio in the 1850/60's.Elsewhere in Monroe County in 1850 I had found other ancestors (George Myers and George Wind) who also moved to Ohio, but it's a big County and I haven't had the time to look at every page.Your information is wonderful. It fits with the information I got from Robert Perreault -- Sulpice did move to New York with Charles (his youngest son) and died there.I continue to be amazed at how long some of these French Canadians lived.Their hard life must have strengthen them of what ever life had to offer. Thanks again.PS.If you sent me your line back to Joseph I'll add it to my file. This is actually my wife's line and she is amazed every time a find a long lost cousin of hersparticularly when I correspond with them.
