Familysearch.org is the LDS db. It is very new just about a month old. I think worth it because has the idices that LDS and other libraries have. Whether it is all or not, I can not tell as I have only been to one LDS library once or twice. Our local Public Library for Genealogical research is handier and very good (Clayton, Houston, TX). Your computer time there is limited as well. My guess is that it would be wise to do your original research online where you can easily copy info; then with the batch/film/.. numbers order your micrfilm from Salt Lake City for delivery to your nearby FHL so that you do not have to waste time with the preliminaries. Meanwhile, encourage your LDS elders to get that microfilm online as well. The nice thing about the online indices is that you can compare the sources at your convenience in order to determine accuracy of conficting data. I think it is going to be regarded as one of the great tools of genealogical research. Really a shame they are not concerned about death records, or location.
