Does anyone have strong supporting evidence that Grizzy's husband's name was John.I too have been studying him for quite some time and for many years accepted him as John Henry, but I believe now that there is not one shred of evidence to show this name is other than just Henry.Yes, I know that the German's named many of their boys Johann Henry, Johann George, Johann Michael, etc, etc, and that you all may be right but I'd like to challenge anyone to show may a source for that full name of John Henry in any kind of record. Also, I've recently communicated with many other researchers who agree that the name John was started as a totally unfounded given name.I too come from a John Persinger - the one that died 1810/11 at Kanawha County, VA (now WV) - these two men are mixed up by many. Some believe that my John is a brother or nephew of Henry (aka John Henry) - but that certainly remains to be proven as well.- Allan Griffith - [email protected]
