I just don't know.I do know the family were strict Methodist and if he was so occupied, he would have been ignored by the family. Maybe this is the reason there isn't any family history for him.My grandmothers marriage certificate lists Charles H. Pettingill as father and Addie Austin as her mother.I'll have some searching to do on my part.
