Thomas Petynghale (1425 - 1466) is my 12th ggfather. The Petynghale's name changes a few times the further they get away from England to Paintegall to Pettinghall.My ggf Charles Pettingill's daughter Ermengarde is my grandmother.
She died in 1948 in San Diego, Ca. I am not sure if Thomas was a rector. I do know that the family were methodists and from Conn. originally.
