There is quite a bit on the Ancell family ,which I
found because of the following:

My grandfather , John Walker Pace was in the civil war
in the Virginia Light Artillery.

Information from Virginia State Library

John W. Pace enlisted at Fluvanna Church,Virginia,
august 6, 1861 in Captain Cary C.Cocke's Company,
Fluvanna Light Artillery, which subsequently became
Captain John J. Ancell's Co.

I believe there was a Virginia Ancell married To

any information of Battle where my grandfather may
have sustained an injury, for which he was discharged
in hospital in Richmond in 1862 would be appreciated.
