Dear Nareen,

I am researching the Philp family of St. Tudy, Cornwall- John and Philippa Philp, who lived there from 1797-1870(their whole lives). Their parents before them also lived in St. Tudy- Robert(1773-1848) and Elizabeth(William) Philp. Robert's parents were John and Susannah Philp who farmed in Pemrose, Parish of St. Bernard.Do any of your Philps connect in here?

My great-grandfather, Robert Philp(1834-1915) left St. Tudy andcame to Algonquin, Illinois, then Crystal Lake, Illinois around 1855.He served in the Union Army and was later mayor of Crystal Lake and on the city council for 28 years.I mention this because your Philps also came to Illinois.

The Philps don't seem to be a large family so maybe there is a connection.

Sincerely,

David Lowell
