PIDCOCK from Nottingham
I'm trying to trace any descendents of Joseph PIDCOCK who married Mary BURTON at Nottingham in 1824. Mary was a sister of Thomas BURTON from Wollaton, who was my gt.gt.grandfather. Joseph, a corn merchant, and Thomas, a maltster, were business partners, running Burton and Pidcock in Dean Street.
Joseph PIDCOCK and Mary BURTON had the following children:-
William PIDCOCK b. 1825
Mary Manners PIDCOCK b. 1828
Charlotte Burton PIDCOCK b.1831
Ann PIDCOCK b. 1835
Thomas PIDCOCK b.1838
Walter PIDCOCK b. 1841 (he became a maltster)
Kate Ellen PIDCOCK b. 1844
Sarah Jane PIDCOCK b. 1847 Hannah Ada PIDCOCK b. 1850
In the 1851 census, they were living at 16 Toll Street. I have found some of their marriages and children, but now I'm stuck. If anyone recognises any of these PIDCOCKs, I would love to hear.
Incidentally, Joseph PIDCOCK was not a native of Nottingham. He was born in Allestree, Derbyshire.
