Edward Pierce & Elizabeth Barrett

I am looking for help from the familes of Hugh McMichael and Clementine Phillips and Edward Pierce and Elizabeth Barrett.I believe Hugh and Clementine McMicahel adopted my grandfather and his sister around 1898 - 1910.They show on the 1910 census with Hugh and Clementine as "adopted" and with the name Pierce/Pearce.I believe my grandfather's surname was actually Pierce.I think he used his surname as his middle name which appears on his draft card as George Pierce McMichael born 1897-1899.His sister's name was Emma born 1895-1896.Both were born in New Jersey.I find no trace of Emma after the 1910 census and was told she died at a young age but have no information.I think their natural parents are Edward A. Pierce abt 1847 and Elizabeth (Lizzie) Barrett abt 1863. It was said that Edward and Elizabeth died together in an accident.If anyone has information on the Hugh McMichael or Edward Pierce family, I would greatly appreciate any and all help.Thank [email protected]
