Family name Pigford

Hi there
I have just discovered my great grandmothers maiden name was PigfordEmily,and she came from the Stockton/Durham area of England.She married a Thomas Fawcett around 1914 to 1919. They have both died since, Emily in childbirth in 1922 and Thomas 18months later.

Can anyone help with information for me to investigate further
