I notice there were many Pinions in the Bartow County section of:
Genealogical Publishing Co.1864 Census for Re-Organizing the Georgia Militia Record for 1864 Census for Re-Organizing the Georgia Militia
This list was on Ancestry.com
There are Anderson, Bayless, Berry, B.I., G.W., Jno., R., T.I., William, and W.D. Pinion. They all worked for the E.M.& M. Company. I believed they lived near an Andrew Smith and possible son Samuel Smith. I am trying to find out more about Sam/Samuel Smith b. 1832 in SC. He moved to Robertson County, TX in the late 1860's. There is a Samuel Smith listed on this 1864 census with the Pinions and he also works for E.M.&M.
