Pinion's from SC to GA

Your Pinion posting intrigued me as my Grandfather Pinnell said that his Pinnell family once spelled their name as Pinion and that they were "Black Dutch".This can mean that Native American blood can be found in their background. His great-grandfather was Jonathan Pinion/Pinnell who is found in Union County, SC as early as 1784 and later on in Spartanburg Co. and finally on to Jackson County, GA, which his land was later cut into Hall County, GA.This Pinion/Pinnell family also included Peter and Lewis Pinion/Pinnell.Peter left SC about 1804 and moved to KY and then on to MO.I do not know what happened to Lewis. This family lived near the Blackstocks in SC who were known to be Indian traders before the Rev. War.This Blackstock family moved along with Jonathan Pinion/Pinnell to Hall County, GA.There is a group of Pinion/Pinnells that lived in one of the old counties cut out of Craven County, NC that were reported to be Indian traders.I believe that these two families were connected but have not found the proof yet.
