Re: Pinker 1800's 1900's
Hi my name is Nereda Pinker, I am married into the Pinker's who originated from Isaac Pinker.
Yes Isaac Pinker & Norah Walsh married in NSW and had John Henry Pinker (g-grandfather), they then returned to England, where they had more children and then after Isaac's mother died, they left on the Arafura and came to Guildford in Western Australia, which is where they are both buried.
John Henry Pinker & his family were one of the first families to set up in the farming community of Narembeen.John's son, Ernest Edward Pinker (grandfather) lived in Narembeen for the rest of his life and is buried there with his wife, Evelyn.A lot of Pinker memrobilia is still in the Narembeen museum donated by Ernest & Evelyn.
Ernest & Evelyn had 2 sons, Edward George (father and William.Edward (or Eddie as he was always known) was my husband's father. He passed away in 1998, which was when I started researching the Pinker's.
Like you I have very little on Norah Walsh.I know that Isaac was in the British Forces, and assume this is how he came to Australia. There are apparently some photo's in the Narembeen museum of a Pinker relation in uniform in India. However I am unsure of who it is.
The email I have posted is my work email, but I would like to hear back from you and maybe we can swap any information.
