Re: Pinker 1800's 1900's
Sorry it has taken me so long to get back to you.
The information I have is that Samuel Alden died on 3 July 1939 and was buried on 5 July 1939 in Karrakatta Cemetery in Perth, WA.
His occupation was a Mason lab.
The line we are from is Ethel May Alden and John Henry Pinker (yes who were cousins).Ethel, John and family were a pioneering family in the Narembeen district.
Their eldest son Ernest Edward married Evelyn Taylor who had Edward George& William Henry Pinker.
Edward George was my father in law, he passed away in 1998.Unfortunately with a lot of the family history. However I have been plodding on.
The reason it has taken me so long to get back to you is that I have been tyring to get in contact with a direct decendent of the Redfearne's.
From what I remember I think the story was that Samuel Alden passed away a few days after getting off the boat in Fremantle. This is the reason that I have been trying to get in contact with them to confirm this.
We met them a few years ago, the address I have I seem to recall them moving, but I will keep trying for you.Have you met any other Pinkers? We have met a few and it is quite canny how even though the line's may not be direct decendent's how much they are alike, in looks and personalities.
Anyway hope to chat to you again soon.
