Harry, I thought that you might be interested in this-Moses Pipkin's will is recorded in Dooly Co. Ga. I cant' tell you what page (I think that it is 44) or book because the copy that I have is very faint. If it wasn't for this i would have included a copy. His will was written and signed by him on Dec. 14th, 1852. It was admitted into court record on April 7, 1853.Moses had already passed away by that time.He mentions Wiley Pipkin, his son, Wiley Lawson or Larson(can't quite see how middle name is spelled) Brantley and William Moses Brantley, his grandsons, Eliza, Winey, and Nancy Pipkin, his daughters, He states that his other sons and daughters had already been provided for.He names Wiley Cobb as guardian to his minor children and his executors as Wiley Cobb and Benjamin B. Hamilton. His witnesses were Benjamin Bridges, Thomas Cox, and Joseph Taylor. Therefore he died between Dec. 14th 1852 and April 7, 1853. There is some interesting reading here.It sounds as though he might have had ill feelings towards the father of his grandsons.
