Hi,
Thanks for your response!
The "Ella Simmons" buried at Flintville Cemetery is not the same Ella that I was looking for.I looked up her obit in the old Fayetteville Observer microfilm.Actually, the mother of Horace Lee Simmons was "Ethel Pitcock Simmons", daughter of John Pitcock and first wife, Elizabeth Cashion...I guess they made a mistake when the funeral home took the info from the family of Horace Simmons when he died.Horace had a daughter (now deceased) and a son that was born late in his life (now age 50).The mother of Horace was Ethel and she is buried in the old Smith Cemetery located at Lincoln Lake in Smithland, Lincoln Co., Tennessee.
The "Connie Ann Pitcock" buried at Flintville Cemetery was my oldest brother's wife. She died very young of Lupus.
The Pitcock's that are buried at Gum Springs Cemetery are my people.
You said you had Pitcock connections in your own family.I would be most interested in learning more.
I live in Lincoln County.
Once again, thanks for your reply. If you want to email me directly, please [email protected].
Thanks,
Michael Pitcock
