I am decended from Andrew & Martha Pitts, their son Jonathon Pitts & Winnie Wadkins, their son George Washington Pitts & Sarah Ellen Morrison, their son George Washington Pitts & Nancy Ann Crowe, their daughter Sarah Elizabeth Pitts & Thomas Eli Proffit, their daughter Sarah Jane Proffit & William Edward "Ed" Hughey, their daughter Sella Estill Hughey & John Alec Henderson, their daughter Agnes Alberta Henderson and Herbert Leslie Van. The last are my parents. We live in Michigan and I am new at this researching of family history, so would appreciate any information you could give me. Would you happen to have information about Jonathan Pitts being in the Revolutionery War? That information is in Rowan Co., N.C.
