Johnson Pitts of Newberry Cty, SC who married Jane.

Johnson S. Pitts is the father of John Simpson, Thomas Pressley, Gilliam and Drayton S Pitts but I do not know the maiden name of his wife JANE. Can anyone out there help me?They lived Floyds, Newberry Co., SC,Jane died in 1880, was not in the 1880 census with her husband who was a widower, age 58 and alone.

This family, via Johnson's son John Simpson Pitts'wifeCaroline (Cornelia Caroline Sterling) connect up with the Sterling family.

I would also appreciate having a valid source as to the parents of Johnson S. Pitts of Newberry Cty, SC
