Bonnie, I have been researching for many years. All I am looking for now is valid source information on two of my husband's Pitts lineage. Sorry to tell you, but it is very unwise to just use information from other people without a valid source.Some people are just sticking anything on the web and before you know it you will compile a lot of misleading information. As far as I know, there is NOT a known birth date for Henry Pitts who is thought to have married Mary Dudgeon.I have about 100 different Henry Pitt and Henry Pitts.It is not known where Henry Pitts was born or when, although we do have records of his death: 14 Dec 1817.There still is NO valid source that he married Mary Dudgeon/Dugan/etc, only that he married a Mary.As for the Charles, 1763 you listed, there is no proof of his birth date.If someone give you information, Bonnie, the first question to ask is, what is your proof, in other words, what is your valid source, Bible Record, Last Will & Testament, Estate Record, etc.Census records are not a valid source, only considered a secondary source, with many mistakes, helpful but not dependable.
