Rae, I don't know if you know Glen Pitts who says he is a grandson of William Solon Pitts and Mary Elizabeth Byers, and Paula Pitts Clauser genforum 3453 who says William Solon (Salen) is her ggfather.I'm not sure, but perhaps there is a mixup of William S.'s son Hardy, as to which Hardy. Maybe your Hardy n 1821 fits in between William Solon for there appears to be a gap there. It "appears" that Hardy you are referring to as your ggfather b. 16 Feb 1821 d. 31 Sep 1891(but this should be 30 not 31 my computer says :) might belong in this lineage, but if he was born 1821 just PERHAPS your ggf might fit in there somewhere, but I don't know where.Perhaps ya'll can compare relatives, RECORDS, AND SOURCES.I surely would like to get this straight, especially if these are descendants of Joseph Pitts 1700 and Nancy Slaughter.Will you please get back with me?Thank you!Lib Pitts
